A 191-mile (350kms) walk across the North of England will be the subject of a talk at the Henry Bloom Noble Library by Alex Eaton on Wednesday November 28th.
The Manx Junior Harriers race walker and keen hiker will be sharing his experiences of walking the coast-to-coast walk from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hood’s Bay in Yorkshire devised by writer and artist Alfred Wainwright.
Some 6000 people attempt the walk each year. Alex has completed the walk twice, taking 14 days the first time and 12 days the second.
The talk will begin at 7.30pm and complementary refreshments will be available.
Free tickets, to be collected in advance, are available from the library’s ground floor counter at 10 Victoria Street, Douglas.
