The Henry Bloom Noble Library will be celebrating Elmer Day on Saturday May 26 with activities happening all day and story times at 11am and 2.30pm.
Children are invited to come to the library dressed in their brightest colours for storytelling, craft sessions and games.
Elmer Day celebrates Elmer the Patchwork Elephant. Created by David McKee, Elmer was first published in 1989. Since then his distinctive patchwork and playful character have made him a firm favourite for children across the world and he’s known for encouraging children to accept others’ differences and practice tolerance and kindness.
