The Council published its Active Travel Strategy at the end of 2019. The aims of the strategy are;
- Supporting and encouraging employees to travel actively when carrying out their functions and when travelling to and from work;
- Supporting and encouraging the public to travel actively when visiting Council premises or leisure sites; and
- Supporting the Government’s Active Travel Strategy as a landowner and as a statutory consultee on planning applications.
