Borough librarian Jan Macartney said: ‘Thanks to the enthusiasm and imagination of the library team and the support of so many talented artists and presenters over the years it’s been our practice to hold all kinds of exciting events for children and adults. Island of Culture 2014 has inspired us to build on that and develop a year-long programme of themed events which we hope will contribute to the celebrations of our Island’s richly diverse cultural life.’
