Holly Webb 1 MediumSeparately, one of the UK’s most prolific children’s authors, Holly Webb (pictured, left), will be at the library on Saturday September 28th from 1.30 to 2.30pm when she will be talking about her latest series of books about a Victorian girl detective, Maisie Hitchens, aimed at a 7 to 10-year-old audience. The session will see children having puzzles to solve and the author signing copies of her latest work.

Litfest director John Quirk said: ‘The events held at the Henry Bloom Noble Library during last year’s inaugural Manx Litfest proved a big hit and we’re sure this year’s events with Curtis and Holly will appeal to youngsters and attract big crowds. Getting Litfest, and our visiting authors, out into the community to meet, entertain and inspire children to both read and write is an important part of what we’re trying to do and it’s great to be working again with borough librarian Jan Macartney and her team at the library.’
