Douglas in Bloom 2019 sparked 'fierce competition' said Regeneration and Community Chair Councillor Stephen Pitts.
Councillor Pitts was speaking at an awards presentation evening held on Thursday September 19 at Noble's Park Pavilion, where he was joined by the Mayor and Mayoress of Douglas, who presented the prizes, Councillors, head and assistant head of parks Dave Hewes and Graham Newsome respectively and competitors.
Councillor Pitts went on to say that the three and half days of judging he carried out with Mr Newsome revealed some new entries and a number of allotments that had improved 'in leaps and bounds'.
