His Worship lent his support to the Armoy Road Races, held just some eight miles from Ballymoney on July 27, which saw celebrated TT winner Michael Dunlop win his eighth successive ‘Race of Legends’ on his home circuit, only 16 days after breaking his pelvis at the Southern 100.

He was joined on the podium by runner-up Derek Sheils and Derek McGee who finished third.

The twinning relationship between Douglas and Ballymoney was formalised in November 2006 and serves to promote cultural, educational and commercial links between the two towns.
