The programme offers open access or guided tours to properties, lands and displays usually closed to the public.

From 11am to 2pm over the two days, members of the public will be able to discover the stories behind some of the Town Hall’s interesting artwork, artefacts and ceremonial items and also to learn about the fascinating history of a landmark building that has been at the centre of civic life in the Borough since 1900. To this end there will be a unique opportunity to view not only some of the original hand-drawn plans of the Town Hall that illustrate its imposing municipal design, but also plans of other iconic buildings that have distinguished the capital.

The Council chamber, Mayor’s parlour and committee room will be open to the general public on Friday October 12 and Saturday October 13 from 11am to 2pm. Entrance free. (Disabled and lift access available).
