As one of his first engagements since his installation as Mayor of Douglas for the 2018-2019 municipal year His Worship the Mayor, Councillor Jonathon Joughin JP, together with the Mayoress, Mrs Angela Joughin, hosted a courtesy visit from the commanding officers of three French Navy training vessels - Chacal, Eglantine and Glycine - on navigational training exercises. Their guests were Lieutenant Clément Bosson (Chacal), Senior Petty Officer Maxence Mulliez (Eglantine) and Chief Petty Officer Patrick Dréo (Glycine) together with the Isle of Man French Honorary Consul Mrs Annie Nédellec.
