The Regeneration and Community Chair Councillor Stephen Pitts has praised Douglas's primary school children for their horticultural skills shown in the Council's 2018 daffodil-growing competition. He was speaking at the prize presentation at Douglas town hall, presided over by Her Worship the Mayor.
The Council's Parks Service team distributed around 2000 daffodils bulbs and growing material to the schools for the competition which was judged over a week-long period by Councillor Pitts and assistant head of parks (technical) Graham Newsome.
