On Friday September 1 Her Worship raised the Red Ensign to mark Merchant Navy day, September 3, and demonstrate the Council's support for Merchant Navy seafarers.
Her Worship also read a message of support from the charity's president, HRH The Earl of Wessex, in which he urges people to 'remember the sacrifices, salute the courage and support the future of the often unsung personnel of our Merchant Navy'.
