The Mayor and Mayoress hosted a reception for young children from Belarus arranged through Manx charity Friends of Chernobyl's Children (IOM).
Her Worship said: 'It was a pleasure to welcome these young children from Belarus to the town hall. We were also delighted to attend their farewell evening at the Manx Legion where the children performed a concert and there were refreshments and a raffle to raise funds for the charity. I would also like to express my appreciation and thanks to Norman and Joan Rivers for facilitating and coordinating the event.'
