The Mayor and Mayoress have welcomed Lieutenant Commander Louise B Ray RN, commanding officer of the First Mines Countermeasures Squadron Crew 4 and commanding officer of HMS Ramsey, together with Sub-Lieutenant Lucy McGregor to Douglas town hall.
Lieutenant Commander Ray has recently assumed command of the mines countermeasures vessel which enjoys an affililiation with Ramsey and was granted the Freedom of Entry to the town in April 2010.
Prior to taking over HMS Ramsey, Crew 4 had returned from a Baltic deployment as part of a NATO task group from January to April.
