The Mayor and Mayoress - and Cassie the dog - travelled to north to the Jurby Transport Museum where they met Manx Transport Trust members Dave Hascombe, secretary, Chris Machin, president and Russell Price, chairman.

The visit provided an opportunity for His Worship, a former member of the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service, to climb aboard the appliance (pictured below) he went on to attend his first incident after completing training school; a fire in the boiler house of Ballaquayle House across the road from where St Mary's RC School now stands.
