The Mayor and Mayoress switched on the decorative Christmas lights on Thursday November 24, the highlight of an evening's entertainment that included seasonal music from Douglas Town Band, a sneak preview of this year's pantomime at the Gaiety Theatre, The Wizard of Oz and appearances by familiar Christmas and winter wonderland characters.
