His Worship the Mayor Councillor John Skinner has presented the Hon Clare Christian OBE,with an engraved heraldic shield to mark her forthcoming retirement as President of Tynwald.
Paying tribute His Worship said she had served as Presiding Officer 'with honour and integrity'. In her reply Madam President thanked His Worship for his kind words and said it was always 'an honour and a privilege' to be received at the town hall.
