Mayor hosts Breast Cancer Now launch

Her Worship the Mayor, Councillor Sara Hackman JP hosted the launch of Breast Cancer Now on Wednesday July 24.

Guests at the town hall included Breast Cancer Now’s chief executive Baroness Delyth Morgan who outlined the charity’s ambition that by 2050 eveyone who develops breast cancer will survive.

The new charity follows the merging of Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer Campaign.

Baroness Morgan praised the people of the Isle of Man for their tireless support and inventive fundraising campaigns that was helping advance research, while Her Worship applauded Isle of Man branch chairman Angie Aire (pictured extreme right, above) for her inspirational commitment to raising awareness and funds.
