Hanging baskets are available for hire to businesses in central Douglas.

The baskets contain a mix of colourful plants and trailing annuals grown at the Council's nursery in Ballaughton.

Each basket is a minimum of 16 inches in diameter and weighs approximately 20kg.

How much do they cost?

2024 current fiscal charges

Seasonal hire charge per basket: £70.65 (inc VAT).

Seasonal maintenance charge per basket: £49.30 (inc VAT).

(Maintenance charge covers watering, feeding and dead heading).

When will they be delivered and collected?

They will be delivered by the Council at the end of May and collected at the end of September (depending on weather conditions).

Will the Council install them?

No, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure basket mounts are secure and safe.
