Santa trams service 'reins' supreme on Douglas promenade

Father Christmas will once again be taking up the reins and joining Her Worship the Mayor Councillor Carol Malarkey JP on Saturday December 14th for the launch at 10.30am of this year’s Santa tram service from the Strathallan terminus - the perfect opportunity to get up close and personal with ‘Rudolph’ and his co-workers and perhaps offer them a Christmas carrot or two.

The service will operate on Saturday December 14th and Sunday December 15th, departing from Strathallan at 10.30am, 11.10am, 11.50am, 12.30pm, 1.10pm, 1.50pm, 2.30pm, 3.10pm and 3.50pm.

 

GrottoZSC 6455 MediumSanta in his grotto 2012Ticket prices remain unchanged since 2011 at £7.50 for adults and children (children under two travel free when accompanied by fare-paying adult). The price includes a return journey on the illuminated horse tram, refreshments in the Strathallan suite, a visit to Santa’s grotto and a gift.

 

 

 

 

 

 

New for 2013 is the introduction of a family discount ticket, priced £20 for two adults and two children over the age of two, (family ticket also provides for a child under two to travel free).
