Notable nonagenarian visits Mayor's parlour

Her Worship the Mayor Councillor Carol Malarkey welcomed Mr Laurence Kermode and members of his family to the parlour on Monday June 10th.

98-year-old Mr Kermode is one of the oldest competitors in the Guild and came second in his class in this year’s festival. A tenor in his youth and accomplished musician, he has also acted a toastmaster at many functions and still enjoys baking cakes.
