The Mayor and Mayoress have had the enviable task of choosing the official Douglas carnival ice cream flavours in a competition for Douglas primary schoolchildren arranged with Davison's Ice Cream.
The winners were eight-year-old Maisie Rose Ingeldew of Scoill Vallajeelt with her Refresher Ice Cream with Poppy Candy and 10-year-old Lucas Brockbanks of Kewaigue School with his Raspberry Choc Chip flavour. They both win ice creams for their classmates once the two flavours go into production.
Best Competition Drawing prize went to Alfie Tummon, eight, from Scoill Vallajeelt, for his design of a Stink Bomb and Blood Sauce with Jellybeans and Haribo flavour suggestion.
